Bald Eagle - colorful feathers

This original 24"x30" acrylic painting depicts a bald eagle sitting on a branch and gazing over his shoulder.  The feathers of the white head and tail contain contrasting colors to portray depth between them.  The brown body also contains unexpected colors such as blues, purples, and oranges to give depth and highlights.  The bark of the branch on which the eagle sits is painted to depict texture and a three dimensional appearance.  The blue background appears as if it has a suede like texture.
